King's College London are piloting the MyKnowledgeMap ePAD tool for their first year masters pre-registration nursing students. The ePAD will document student feedback and assessment during their programme.
King’s College London have officially gone live with MyKnowledgeMap’s electronic Practice Based Assessment (ePAD) platform known as Myprogress. The Myprogress ePAD has been designed in line with the existing NMC standards and is being piloted with first year masters pre-registration student nurses.
Ranked as one of the top institutions in the world for Nursing, King’s College London is now the second university within the PAN London Consortium to go live with the MyKnowledgeMap ePAD.
Founded upon award winning practice-based assessment platform, Myprogress, the ePAD for nursing students has been designed to transform the practice learning experiences for student nurses and will be used for the duration of their programme. Replacing the paper version of the PAD, the ePAD makes it easier for students, practice and academic staff to document, assess and feedback on a students’ practice learning and development in real time.
‘Practice learning is half of the pre-registration nursing programmes, and so the Practice Assessment Document is an integral part of a student’s qualification. Using the ePAD is showing us the potential of digital resources in providing a single point of documentation for students as well as streamlining collaborative assessment and support. The roll out of the pilot scheme at King’s is down to great partnership working within the university, our colleagues in Pan London Practice Learning Group and MyKnowledgeMap. We hope to make digital resources such as the ePAD more widely available to more of our students in the future.’
- Julie Bliss, Associate Dean Practice Learning
King’s College London is one of many universities adopting MyKnowledgeMap’s, ePAD. Other universities to follow include City, University of London, Middlesex University, University of Greenwich and many more.
